Introduction

Imagine a world with no starving children, no homeless people, no drug dealers, no inner city ghettos, no red light districts; a world where there is no racism or terrorist threat, no internet scams, no pedophiles and no unemployment.

Imagine a world where there is a solid infrastructure for education, commerce, welfare, healthcare and an affordable care system for the elderly.

Imagine a world with a secure banking system, sustainable energy sources, fair trade and zero inflation; a world with a functioning judicial system where punishment fits the crime and where the law also acts as an effective deterrent.

Imagine a world where there is no threat of war and where there are no brutal dictators; a world where universal government is enforced to ensure equality and fairness for all people of all nations.

It may come as a surprise, but I am not trying to convey an imaginary utopia or even the reality of heaven. I am trying to convey what life on this earth will be like when Jesus Christ returns to set up his Millennial Kingdom.

Jesus will reign on this earth for 1000 years and he will solve all the socio-economic and political problems that perplex us today.

During the millennium, the world will not be sinless, but there will be law and order enforced to eradicate many of the evils which are prevalent today. Listening to people 'wrongly accusing God' will be a thing of the past.

The innumerable host of saints - those who are resurrected and raptured at the return of Christ to the air before the tribulation, along with those who will come out of the tribulation - will be Christ’s ambassadors on earth during the millennium.

These saints will no longer be mortal, they will be eternal beings transformed into Christ’s likeness. They will be supernatural rather than earthly; they will have sufficient knowledge, authority and power to effectively police activities on earth under Christ’s authority.

As a result of Christ’s universal governance and wisdom, there will be lasting peace on earth and the average human lifespan will increase to well over 100 years.

This increased lifespan may be understood as the result of a better quality of life, improved health and diet, lower stress levels and less anxiety regarding the 'pace of life' in this new age.
