God sees me...

Hagar – in her moments of despair cried;

“You are the God who sees me.” Genesis 16 v 13

Jacob – leading up to the greatest blessing in his life said;

“Everything is against me!” Genesis 42 v 36

Moses – aged 120 years, when blessing the tribe of Asher says;

“And your strength will equal your days.” Deuteronomy 33 v 25

David – reflecting on his life says;

“Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.” Psalm 139 v 16

Whatever stage in life you are at right now; planning ahead in your twenties or thirties, reflecting on years gone by in your sixties or seventies or perhaps you are somewhere in between and trying to figure out what your journey is all about.

No matter who you are or where you are, God has a plan for you and God has a purpose for your life.

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Jeremiah 29 v 11

God says "I know"...

We need to put our faith in God because He knows the plan - we don't. We need to take each day as it comes and trust God to guide us into His plan and His will for our lives.

There is a plan...

Sometimes it is difficult to see this plan or feel that there is a plan because we lose connection with God and with how He operates.

We don’t like it when bad things happen to us or to members of our family. Sometimes God allows bad things to happen in order to bring us closer to Him.

Sometimes we need to accept short term hardship or loss for long term gain - God knows what is best for us in the long run.

Life is short - eternity is long!

Perhaps Hagar, Jacob, Moses and David endured hardships which are beyond our experience. They knew what it felt like to experience rejection, hardship, failure, disappointment and loss. But they all had one thing in common; they held on to the promises of God through the exercise of their personal faith in God.

Let me ask you; are you experiencing rejection or hardship? Are you enduring a time of uncertainty, disappointment or loss? Are you afraid or worried about the future?

You need not face this alone!
“Come near to God and He will come near to you.” James 4 v 8

This is God's promise to you today... Take one step towards Him in submission, in prayer, in confession, in thankfulness, in reading the bible, in going to church or whatever it is that you need to do; and He will take a step towards you too.

Keep on doing this and you will be one with God!

Please join with me in prayer today for every person across the world who receives this message and may God richly bless you today.

"Yes, I am coming soon! Amen. Come Lord Jesus." Revelation 22 v 20
